  7. Hi
I am wondering how I can find a dentist that is willing to do monthly payments other than 1/2 of the cost up front and the balance over 3 months!
I am currently on disability that is a combination of long term through employer, and CPP. Everyone says that I have to much income!
I desperately need major work done , I have a severe infection and I must get all remaining teeth extracted, and dentures both upper and lower. I have just left an abusive marriage,
now I am left with a horrible financial situation, and I am suffering big time with the pain in my mouth. What really gets me is that when I kicked my husband out he goes to social services , is approved and he just recently received complete set of dentures at a cost of 3700.00 paid for by social services!I cannot believe it! he is capable of working yet he does not and he gets free dental. unreal I had no choice but to leave the marriage and he gets all of the services he needs from the government. Please can anyone provide me with a dentist that could help me?
Every tooth in my mouth is loose and I need help asap.
    Thanks

  8. If you cannot get help here, you might like to look into getting some dental work done in Mexico....much much cheaper....and you should be able to write it off. Coral dental Clinic in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo (45 minutes from Cancun)is a great clinic.

  9. It is pretty sad when I have dental benefits and I am still looking at a $900.00 bill if I fix my tooth - one tooth!! I guess I will be extracting it and hope all my other teeth stay healthy or I'll be gumming it very soon. If I fix the tooth I won't be able to feed my family! I might as well cancel the dental insurance at work since the extra charges are beyond belief.

  10. that is why I think I will pay outright, and claim on income tax, as the monthly is high, plus they only cover so much, and it is still expensive...it's no small wonder more people don't walk around with rotten mouths...

  12. I am working, I have a benefit plan. I don't have money to pay the dentist. It's been 3 years now. The Dentist office calls every 3 months or so and my answer to their question remains the same. "No I will not be booking a follow-up appt. as I cannot afford it"

  13. Thank you for posting this. I am a single mother with no support from my ex-husband and am on a very low income. I would love for my kids to be able to go to a Calgary dentist so that they can have healthy teeth. What are the prices? Thank you again.

  14. The best option is a flight overseas or a drive down to Mexico.I have full dental insurance, but it is very hard to find a dentist in Calgary for under $2 000.00 an hour.Insurance pays according to "Normal" amounts dentists charge in Canada, they max at about $1 000.00 an hour,so a trip to Sask. or B.C is your second best option. Im opting for Asia, the best choice for quality,Mexico being second best, for your tird sub-standard choice, bring lots of $$

  19. Do you think the insurance in Calgary would cover my dental for my kids? It would be very helpful if I could get some assistance. I know it depends on the plan you have, what is recommended?

  21. Hi there guys, I think some of you under the impression that only rich people can afford to pay for dental plan without plans. You should just go to a dentist and see how much it would cost.I haven't been to dentist forever and after having 2kids got lots of cavities, so now im starting to catch up on my dental work, so far I had 5 large fillings done(im talking about 10 years without dental check type) plus a full set of xrays(all teeth plus the head) and so far it totaled to about 900 buks(no benefits). $900 is actually not thaaaat bad. Yes I realize that crown(about $1000 that's what my dentist said) and root canals are more expensive, but I still cant believe reading all this comments that people couldn't save one thousand dollars and go take care of few teeth (not including that single mom of 2. I have 2 kids myself and I know how expensive that can get :)
